Valentine's Day

We planned the special menu two months in advance.  We were so organized that the kitchen staff even had a rest between lunch and dinner service.  Lights were dimmed, roses everywhere, bubbly cocktails on the tables, guys and gals all dressed up for the occasion, looking beautiful.  A very romantic atmosphere throughout the restaurant.  The servers all enjoyed working on such an exciting evening.  The final touch, a long stem rose for each lady.

"R" one of our server did a painting for us.  We've put it up on the wall.  Beautiful.

"J" our assistant chef got into a bike accident on his to work.

His bike was trapped in the streetcar track just like "N"'s bike did when she had her bike accident. Fortunately he had martial arts training and was able to break the fall.  He was not too badly hurt, however, his bike was not so fortunate.  Can streetcar tracks be made safer for cyclist?

Greetings to everyone, wishing you a fabulous 2013

Although we are closed today for the New Year Holiday, we are busy prepping in the kitchen for opening tomorrow.

We installed a brand new floor for the dinning room.  It looks great. Wonder if our regular customers will notice the change.

This young man drank half the bottle of Root Beer and then told  the server he did not like it and asked to change it to a Cream Soda instead.   It is not that there is something wrong with the Root Beer, he just did not like the taste and wanted the restaurant to pay for his choice that turn out to be not what he likes.  Shall we now do food and drinks sampling before people order anything?
